Table Captains

Imagine providing a physician with the latest medical instruments for less invasive surgical care. With your support of the Visionaries Breakfast YOU will be putting the latest tools and devices in the hands of the medical experts at QCH.

What most people don’t know is that government funding does not cover the costs of medical devices for hospitals. Each year, donors to Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation provide important funding to help with the purchase of leading life-saving equipment.

We hope you will join us on March 29 for the Visionaries Breakfast and help us raise much-needed funds for urgent priorities at QCH - and consider taking a leadership role as one of our incredible table captains.

What is a Table Captain?

Our Table Captains champion this fundraising event within their networks – rallying the community in support of QCH. As a Table Captain, you commit to bringing 6 guests to the Visionaries Breakfast.

At the Visionaries Breakfast, each table will include a Table Captain, QCH Medical Expert and six table guests.

Please ensure your guests register on the site before Friday, March 17, 2023.

How do I confirm my role as a Table Captain?

Thank you for agreeing to serve as a Table Captain for the Visionaries Breakfast on March 29, 2023.

Here are the steps to confirming your involvement:

Step 1: Please contact the QCH Foundation office at 613-721-4731 or via email at qchfound@qch.on.ca. Our team will create a custom table captain profile for you and forward you the link to share with your guests.

Step 2: Write a custom email to six people in your network and encourage them to register to join your table at the Visionaries Breakfast on March 29. Be sure to include the link to your Table in the email.

Guests are kindly asked to register on the site before Friday, March 17, 2023.

If a prospective guest is unable to attend, encourage them to make a donation to your table – and reach out to additional contacts to fill all six spots at the table.

Step 3: We encourage all Table Captains to share the link to their personal fundraising page to those within their network, asking individuals to consider making a gift in support of QCH.

How do I invite/engage table guests?

While there is no cost to attend the Visionaries Breakfast it is a fundraising event with proceeds benefitting Queensway Carleton Hospital. All prospective guests should be made aware that they will be encouraged to make a gift at the breakfast.

When you are inviting guests, please consider those who have a strong connection to the cause and want to help advocate for local healthcare.

Customize the sample email below, adding your personal connection to QCH. This will help with your recruitment efforts.

When sending the invitation to your contacts, please be sure to include the link to your personal page and your table page – so they can register and make a donation. If they are unable to attend the event in person, be sure to encourage them to make a donation to your table.

Subject line: Visionaries Breakfast in support of Queensway Carleton Hospital

Good morning <contact name>,

We know these are incredibly difficult times for the healthcare sector. Each and every day we are learning more about the pressures facing hospitals here in our community, and that's why I have confirmed my support for Queensway Carleton Hospital.

I am serving as a Table Captain for their upcoming Visionaries Breakfast on March 29. It's a morning fundraiser benefitting QCH - with funds raised directed towards the most urgent priorities at QCH including the purchase of leading medical devices and equipment.

Along with enjoying a delicious (and healthy) breakfast courtesy of the culinary team at the Brookstreet Hotel we will be raising important funds for QCH. Guests will also learn more about the herculean efforts of the QCH team as they provide exceptional, exemplary, compassionate healthcare to our community.

I hope you will join me as a guest at my table. There is no cost to attend the event, however, with it being a fundraising event for QCH our aspirational goal is to have each attendee make a meaningful donation to the event. To confirm your seat at my table, please register by clicking this link <insert link to your table>.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the breakfast or QCH. Please don't hesitate to reach out <insert contact info here>.

I look forward to seeing you on March 29!

Sincerely,

<insert e-signature here>
